Solid : No
Liquid: No
Gas: Yes

Arrangement & motion of particles to explain the physical states

Solid: The arrangement of particles has a regular pattern and are close together. The particles in solids have a stronger attraction. The motion of particles is very little. Hence, this shows that solid has a definite shape, volume and cannot be compressed.

Liquid: The arrangement of particles does not have a regular pattern and are not very far. The particles are moving past each other. Hence this shows that liquid has a definite volume, indefinite shape.

Gas:

  1. Good job on the e journal. However, you did not include the topic of kinetic particle theory. Please add it in.
